The cheapest quote is often not the cheapest supplier

Three vendors quote you for the same compound. One sells 10-vial kits at 30 mg, one sells 25-vial kits at 36 mg, and the third has a quantity break at ten kits. The headline prices are not comparable at all.

Normalise to price per mg

price per mg = price per kit ÷ (vials per kit × mg per vial)

That single number lets a 10-vial kit and a 25-vial kit sit in the same ranking. It is also the only fair way to compare two strengths of the same compound.

Then do it twice

Rank once at the single-kit price and once at each vendor's best volume tier, because the winner changes. A supplier quoting $245 a kit against someone else's $196 looks expensive — until their ten-kit tier lands at $165 and the other has no break at all.

What not to fold in

Lab testing, customs and reship fees are real costs and belong on the purchase — but they must stay out of the per-mg vendor ranking. A fee you paid a third party says nothing about whether that vendor is cheap, and mixing it in makes an honest supplier look expensive.

Lead time is part of the price

A supplier who is $0.02/mg cheaper and three weeks slower is not cheaper if you go out of stock. Track order and arrival dates and let the average — and the spread — sit next to the price.
