An order is one purchase from one supplier: products, quantities, unit costs, plus shipping and other overhead. PepStock spreads that overhead across every unit in the order to compute landed cost — the real cost per unit, not the sticker price.
If a supplier gives money back on the whole order — a volume discount for ordering more, a partial refund, a price adjustment — record it as the refund on the order. It comes off what the order cost you and off what you have spent, and it belongs to the order rather than to any one product on it, so an order carrying three compounds still takes the discount once. Money back on a single compound goes on that purchase instead, where it reduces that compound's cost.
Orders also record their order and arrival dates, which power supplier lead-time estimates for reordering.
One order usually brings in several batches — a Retatrutide and a Semaglutide in the same shipment are two batches under one order number.
