Deleting, Safely

This is one screen in PepStockApp StoreGoogle Play

Before anything is deleted, PepStock tells you what goes with it — the purchases behind a product, the stock a reseller is holding, the sales that lose their link, and whether your profit changes. Deleting a product is not just removing a row.

Everything deleted goes to Settings → Recently Deleted for (DeletionArchive.retentionDays) days and comes back in one tap, with its purchases, hand-overs, sales and certificates of analysis. Nothing you've entered since is overwritten.

An order you typed in and never finished can go from its own screen — open it and there is a Delete at the bottom. It asks first, and tells you what it costs: what comes off your revenue, how many units go back on the shelf, and whether a reseller's balance moves. Deleting an order removes every product on it, because that is what the screen is showing you.

Deleting a purchase now goes to Recently Deleted too, with its certificates of analysis, so a batch entered by mistake is no longer a one-way door.

⚠️ A purchase you have written stock off against cannot be deleted. Stock sent for testing, lost or damaged is a deduction against your profit and sits in your tax export — deleting the purchase would erase it from both. The app says how much stock and how much money are in the way, and the right tool is correcting the count instead.

One thing it can't undo: iCloud syncs deletions to your other devices immediately, so a backup taken *before* the deletion is still the safety net for anything older than 30 days.
