Discontinuing a Compound You No Longer Buy

This is one screen in PepStockApp StoreGoogle Play

A compound you have stopped carrying should not keep appearing in reorder suggestions, and deleting it would take its history with it. On the product, Status sets it to Active or Discontinued.

Discontinued leaves reorder planning and nothing else:

  • Its purchase history stays.
  • Its past sales stay, so every report you have already read still reads the same.
  • The value of what you still hold stays in your stock value.
  • You can still sell it. Discontinued means you are not buying more, not that the units on your shelf are unavailable.

Set it back to Active whenever you start buying it again. Use this rather than deleting, which is for a product that should never have existed — see Deleting, Safely.
