Failed Testing & Write-Offs

This is one screen in PepStockApp StoreGoogle Play

If a product fails testing, use Failed Purity/Mass Test on that item. PepStock recalls any rep stock, zeroes the counts, and books the loss (units × landed cost).

A failed test isn't automatically a loss. Vendors often make it good, and whatever they give back comes off the loss against your profit:

  • Refunded — money back. Your profit AND your cash position both recover.
  • Store credit — credit toward a future order. Profit recovers; no cash comes back, so your Cash Position is untouched.
  • Replacement product — vials sent to replace it, or a different product instead. Same treatment as a credit.

Record it on the product's failed-test banner, or tap the failed-testing line on the Dashboard to see every failed product in one place with the amounts editable. If the vendor covered the whole batch, it stops counting as a loss entirely.

Changed your mind? If it was retested and passed, or you marked the wrong product, use This product didn't fail on the same screen — the loss is removed and the stock comes back.
