Two words that used to be muddled, now kept apart.
An order is one purchase from one supplier — the shipment, its overhead, its tracking, and the number you write across every label in it.
A batch is one factory run of one compound: one strength, one vendor, one cap. It is what a certificate certifies, and it is what the labs and your customers mean by the word.
One order usually brings in several batches — a Retatrutide and a Semaglutide in the same shipment are two batches under one order number.
Your spreadsheets are unaffected. A column headed *Batch #* in a file you exported months ago still means the order, exactly as it always has, and imports to the same place. New exports say *Order #* instead. Nothing you have saved needs changing, and nothing lands in a different column than it used to.
The supplier's own reference, when they give you one, is the vendor lot number — a separate field, and not the same thing as either.
