Refunding a Deposit

This is one screen in PepStockApp StoreGoogle Play

Two different things, and picking the wrong one loses the record.

Typed it wrong? Change the amount on the deposit. That says the money never arrived, which is what you mean when a figure was mistyped.

Actually sent money back? Use Refund This Deposit. That says it arrived and went back — both true, both worth keeping. Set the day it really went back, not the day you are typing, and write a reason: your reseller reads it on their own screen under Returned to You. Deleting the deposit instead would leave them watching their credit fall with nothing to explain it.

Returning credit that is still unspent changes nothing else.

⚠️ Returning more than that means the part you are taking back has already marked sales paid. Those sales go back to unpaid — the app lists exactly which ones and how many before you commit. Sales are whole, so releasing them usually frees a little more than you need; the remainder stays as credit.

If they have no settled sales left to unwind, the refund is refused rather than half-done. Return the unspent part instead.

The Android app works the same way.
