Vendors → Compare Prices by Compound → Import Price List reads a vendor's sheet with on-device text recognition. Nothing is uploaded.
Three ways in: a PDF or image file, a picture from Photos, or Scan with Camera — which is the one to reach for when the list arrived as a photo in a chat.
Use the camera where you can. PepStock rebuilds the table from where the text sits on the page, so a sheet photographed at an angle can interleave columns that belong to different products. The scanner finds the edges and flattens the sheet first, which is the difference between a clean read and a scrambled one. Several pages in one pass is fine.
Recognition is about 95%, so every parsed row lands in an editable review list before anything saves. Fix a mis-read price there rather than after.
