When you log a sale of a compound you hold in more than one batch, PepStock asks which one it came from. It offers the batch that expires soonest first — not the one you bought first, because a later order can expire sooner and shipping the fresher stock leaves dated stock on the shelf.
With only one batch it doesn't ask, because there is nothing to decide.
Why it is worth answering. The receipt can then attach the certificate for what that buyer actually received, rather than every certificate the compound has ever had. Your profit on that sale uses what that batch cost you, instead of an average across every purchase — so selling from a cheap batch and an expensive one no longer look identical. And your count of each batch becomes recorded rather than worked out.
Not specified is always there and is the honest answer when you don't know. Nothing is ticked on the receipt in that case, and PepStock will not guess on a customer's paperwork.
