Stock Adjustments

This is one screen in PepStockApp StoreGoogle Play

Stock leaves the shelf for reasons other than a sale. Open a product, tap the purchase it came from, then Adjust Stock Count, and give it a reason:

  • Testing, Expired, Damaged, Lost, Sample/Gift — real losses. The cost is charged against profit, locked in at what that batch cost.
  • My Own Use — NOT a loss. The business didn't lose the money, you took the product, so it's recorded as an owner draw valued at cost. Your profit is unaffected.
  • Returned to Vendor — also NOT a loss. Record what the supplier refunded on the purchase itself; booking a loss as well would charge you twice for the same stock.

Adjustments are per purchase, not per product, because two batches of one compound rarely cost the same. Every reason appears in your reports, and the tax export marks which are deductible.

Everything here can be corrected later. Under Already Removed on the same screen, tap any removal to change its reason, date or cost — this is how you fix a write-off that the vendor later refunded — or swipe it to undo it, which puts the stock back and removes whatever it recorded. Write-offs made by older versions of the app show up there too, with a one-tap way to take the charge off your profit.
