Who You Ordered Through

This is one screen in PepStockApp StoreGoogle Play

A vendor is a company; an order is placed with a person. Add the people you deal with under a vendor in Vendors, and an order can then record which of them handled it.

It is worth recording because it is usually the answer. When the same compound costs $23 in March and $19 in May from the same company, the difference is normally which person quoted it — and without this the price just looks like it moved.

You can change it afterwards. Orders get placed through whoever answers, and you may not know at the time who is going to look after it. Open the order and pick a different contact whenever you find out — nothing else about the order moves, and its costs, stock and history stay exactly where they are.

Removing someone from your contact book never removes their orders. The order keeps its vendor and simply stops naming a person.

Your resellers never see any of this — not the vendor, not the contact, not what you paid.
